Be mindful and appreciate every day, even during the pauses and moments of boredom.
If you are feeling restless, have the blues, feel like maybe you are in a rut, you could be suffering from boredom. However, this is an ideal time to rethink how you handle boredom and disinterest. In today’s world, we receive a bombardment of ideas for ways to entertain ourselves and sometimes get overwhelmed by all the noise. As humans have a desire for quiet time, peace, and even say we want a day to ourselves to do “nothing” then complain the whole time when we get a chance to sit in the calmness.
Take a few minutes during this time to do one of two things. First, you could spend this time meditating or enjoying the peace. Second, if you are in a spot where you can do this, find something new to do. You could consider this time for planning a project, finding a new hobby, a car ride, redecorate, or tackle a project you have been putting off. Having free time is hard to find, so make the best of it when you do have it.
